Moxie Kitty & Margaritas

We have a beautiful cat named Moxie. She is creamy white, has a raccoon-striped tail & blue eyes. She is an outside cat…sort of: sleeps in the garage, keeps the rodent population under control including squirrels & rabbits, but with all the cold & snow of late, she has also been hanging around inside the house…shedding, sharpening claws & getting into places & things she should not, like the garbage, any food left on the counter & fish food stored in a closet. One day I caught Lucy, my Cairn Terrier, enjoying a stick of butter on the kitchen floor. The question: how did Lu get butter that I had placed on the counter to make a cake? Enter Moxie. Little Miss Meow had evidently dropped the butter off the counter trying to take it to the garage when Lu appropriated it for herself. Enter me – with a very loud voice of disapproval! Pets scattered & DH came running thinking something horrible had happened.

Moxie is a snuggler with a loud, wheezy purr. She will bump & knead & rub until she gets comfortable, then stay in your lap, on your legs, or on a nearby afghan until she thinks it’s time to eat, which is anytime someone goes into the garage near her dish.

Cats are self-serve. Leave their food & water out, a litterbox accessible & they are good to go. Just don’t leave your butter on the counter.

T – I’m not much of cat person, but your cat does sound like she has lots of personality. Rick is a butter-lover too.
