Christmas Alphabet: K is for Kris Kringle

December 7, 2011

K is for Kris Kringle, the given name for one most often called Santa Claus.

The history of this Christmas tradition is fascinating & goes back centuries.

The best Santa Claus movie of all time, the original 1947 version, which must be enjoyed in black & white, winner of the 1947 Academy Awards for Supporting Actor: Edmund Gwenn; Best Writing, Original Story: Valentine Davies; Best Writing, Screenplay: George Seaton. It did not win Best Picture, for which it was nominated, also.
