Santa Rosa Island Birds

I heard Red-Winged Blackbirds singing all over the island but was never able to catch one on camera. They love the sea oats.

DH & I have never seen Osprey on this island in the 30+ years we have visited here. Now they are quite visible as are their nests!

The Great Blue Herons are also nesting.

These Black Skimmers were nesting at the entrance to the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
