Not-So-Mute Monday: Memorial Day
The traditional day of remembrance, Memorial Day, the day we remember those who have died while serving in the armed forces of the United States of America, is May 30th.
Because the US Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act in 1968, Memorial Day has become simply another reason for a long weekend.
Take the opportunity to offer a prayer of thanks to the Lord for those who have offered the greatest sacrifice for our freedoms.
DH & I are off to visit #1 son in NYCity…another giant collection of asphalt, concrete & crowds…but that’s okay. We have wanted to visit #1 since he relocated to the Big Apple & this is our chance. Back soon!
